| Spin-Casting with thermoset plastic is a fast, low-cost alternative to plastic injection molding for both functional and decorative parts. Thermoset plastics are simple to use and appropriate for both small and large production runs. The plastics used are quick setting liquid thermoset plastics, which readily fill TEKSIL molds at room temperature. Many can closely match the properties and characteristics of typical conventional injection molded thermoplastics. They include polyurethanes, polyesters and epoxies. In production, some thermosets can easily be chemically accelerated. Parts can be de-molded in under 2 minutes. Spin-Cast thermosets offer fine detail and close tolerances, while saving time and major costs over competitive processes, with no tooling costs to amortize. |
