TEKCAST offers several specially formulated TEKALOY products to assist you in achieving the desired results from your casting project. 08-301 TEKALOY ZA-1 - Commercial grade, ready to use Zinc - Aluminum - Copper - Magnesium alloy Ideal for small to medium size parts, up to 1/2 lb each, with wall thickness of 3/8" or under. Produces very good detail and surface finish, with low porosity on thin wall sections. Very good flow characteristics. Sold by the lb., minimum zinc order 50 lbs.
This alloy has highest strength and hardness and is fully electroplatable. Normal casting temperatures range in degrees between 770 - 810 F (410 - 432 C). Provides good mold life.
TEKALOY products are commercial grade Zinc base alloys, derived and modified from ZAMAK or MAZAK standard Zinc Pressure Die Cast alloys. They are metallurgically designed by TEKCAST Industries, Inc. to provide superior performance for Spin-Casting applications.
