TEKCAST offers several specially formulated TEKALOY products to assist you in achieving the desired results from your casting project. 08-100 TEKALOY ZAM - Special grade, ready to use Zinc - Aluminum - Copper alloy
This is the most popular spin-casting Zinc alloy, ideal for medium size parts up to 2 lbs. each, with wall thickness of 5/8" or under.
Produces very fine grain, smooth surface finish with excellent detail and very low porosity. Has high strength and hardness and is fully electroplatable. Normal casting temperatures range in degrees between 750 - 790 F (400 - 420 C). Provides very good mold life, usually 30% more than other commercial grade Zinc alloys. Sold by the lb., minimum zinc order 50 lbs.
TEKALOY products are commercial grade Zinc base alloys, derived and modified from ZAMAK or MAZAK standard Zinc Pressure Die Cast alloys. They are metallurgically designed by TEKCAST Industries, Inc. to provide superior performance for Spin-Casting applications.
